Recycling Week - Eagle Scout Project
Nathan Crook, of BSA Troop 94, is pleased to be able to assist the residents in the Payson community with a week long recycling event. Nathan feels strongly that recycling needs to be more accessible for residents. Recycling isn't difficult when there are proper facilities available to dispose of the collected waste rather than sending all of it to landfills.
He is encouraging all members of the Payson community to collect discarded glass, plastics, aluminum and paper which would normally be disposed of in the garbage. Then on May 16-20, dispose of the items in the recycling bins which will be placed in two different locations in Payson for the five day period.
As part of his Eagle project, he is assessing the desire of the Payson community to participate in recycling. He would like all residents to complete the survey by following the link above to show their interest, knowledge and understanding of recycling. This information will be passed along to Payson City with the hope that they will use the information to benefit the city in further recycling efforts.
